Hon. Addingi Alex
Special Adviser to the Governor on International Investments
Mr. Alex Addingi was born on September 4, 1964, into the family of
Mr. &Mrs. Atoato Addingi in Aliade, Benue State. He commenced his
early education at Aliade Primary School in Benue State and later
pursued his secondary education at Mount Saint Gabriel's Secondary
School in Makurdi, Benue State. He proceeded to Kaduna Polytechnic,
Kaduna State, where he earned a National Diploma (ND) in Food
Science Technology. With an accomplished educational background, Mr.
Addingi further achieved a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Animal
Production Technology.
Over the course of more than 35 years, he has demonstrated expertise
as an experienced farmer, a skilled food technologist, and a
proficient hospitality entrepreneur. His involvement includes
notable positions, such as the Founder of the Sir Alex Addingi
Foundation—a catalyst for the oil palm revolution in the Middle Belt
region of Nigeria since 2015. His international business
relationship positions him a reputed businessman with which he has
attracted and brought in a lot of direct foreign investment (FDI) in
the country ranging from trade, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and
production, much of which he serves as directors on the board.
Additionally, he holds the position of CEO and Co-Founder at
Bluefarms, an innovative Fintech company established on modern
farming techniques since 2015. He is also a Vice Chairman at Sinoki
System Limited, renowned for owning the Silk Road Restaurant in
Abuja, the largest Chinese restaurant in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Moreover, he plays a pivotal role in Unicure, a dynamic
pharmaceutical company located in Ogun State, known for attracting
substantial foreign investments due to its impactful activities
since 2015. Mr. Addingi's extensive career history encompasses roles
as a Consultant at Ruwatev Nig. Ltd, specializing in Water
Engineering from 1994 to 2007. Prior to this, he held the role of
Personal Assistant from 1992 to 1993 to the Director General,
Special Duties, in the Benue State Government under Fr. Adasu.
Furthermore, he served as the Personal Assistant to the Director
General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and
Control (NAFDAC) from 2008 to 2015. This diverse array of roles
underscores Mr. Addingi's multifaceted contributions to various
industries and positions him as a respected figure in his fields of
expertise. Hon Addingi Alex is spearheading the Benue Ease of Doing
Business Reform efforts of the governor Alia administration. He has
also pioneered the Governor’s Investment Delivery Unit for the
delivery of Benue State investment attraction and promotion policy
and plan (Governor Alia’s International Investment Policy and Plan)
as well as pioneering the Benue State International Investment
Advisory Council.
